After studying Art, Photography, History of Costume and Clothing Design at University he soon became an assistant to a Fashion Director and found himself working with all the top cover girls, alongside photographers who were shooting for Vogue and W Magazine. He transferred to Advertising and continued to Style Wardrobe but soon added Art Directing Television Commercials to his resume. A move to Chicago meant a promotion to Producer/ Art Director, in commercials, and winning many awards and soon led to Directing Television Commercials. Chicago gave way to New York City and his talents blossom in numerous areas including continuing to Direct, Styling Wardrobe and Sets for Print and Commercials-along with Writing, Art Directing and Producing for HBO and Cinemax. Represented by a top agency, for Prop and Set Styling, his client list included Harper and Queen, Hampton’s Magazine, Cosmopolitan and Tattler along with numerous retailers like Nordstrom, Spiegel, and Macy’s. In 2007 Richard moved to Los Angeles to work Designing and Styling Residences, Bars and Restaurants…and to enjoy the sunshine. For the last 2 years he has worked for a major e-commerce site as the Product Photography Manager overseeing 10 teams of stylists and photographers each day. Along with that Richard L. has been responsible for Art Directing up to 15 editorial shots per day. He still loves FASHION, he still loves ART DIRECTING and STYLING and he’s looking forward to working with you.
